Responsibilities
Generate innovation ideas and use cases for new products or application according to market trend, new technology or customer requirements.
Feasibility study for new concepts/ideas from technology side and market side, perform system level analysis and generate system concept. Capture and analyze requirements, new ideas/ concept and potential risks and boundaries in application, responsible for project time, cost and final deliverables.
Lead project team for new thermal management concept development for NEVs, build competence hub in local company and support global AE activities
Tracking/collecting automotive related market trend, new technology and new application, close monitor regulations/ association and industry standards/ specifications.
Cooperate with the internal and external stakeholders – Product Center /Sales / Marketing / Business Development / Program management internally and Customer engineering teams/ suppliers / universities/ industry associations/ government agencies externally.
Coordinate the innovation activities in company, develop key technical competencies and establish a strong network with internal and external engineering teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in automotive related field, Mechanical engineering, or Fluid mechanics
8+ years’ work experience of mechanical design, especially in valve design area, electromagnetic valve experience is preferred
Familiar with vehicle thermal management system design, e.g. heap pump, coolant system design and simulation. Experienced in component/vehicle level simulation, bench & vehicle level test is preferred
Familiar with drawing tools e.g. CATIA, ProE, AutoCAD; familiar with simulation tool e.g. ANSYS, STAR CCM, MATLAB SIMULINK.
Experience with vehicle tool e.g. Vector CANOE is preferred
Open mind for innovation, capable to think in system level, good communication skills.
Self-motivated and self-learning; like new technology and new challenges.
Fluent written and spoken English

Hella’s Nanjing location is the newest addition to our group of development centers in China. In Nanjing, the Hella electronics and lighting divisions will be combined in one office. As the electronic content of automotive lighting products continues to increase, synergies between the lighting group and the electronic group will be more important in the years to come . Over the next three years the Nanjing facility will grow to over 200 engineers. Additional e x pansion in Nanjing is planned to include a test lab and a nearby production site.
